Professional Credentials & Background

Dr. Nakumbe holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology and is dually credentialed in behavioral health and coaching, bringing over a decade of clinical oversight and board-approved supervision experience to his strategic work. His approach integrates forensic neuroscience, behavioral science, and relational systems to help individuals, couples, parents, and professionals interrupt patterns that resist traditional approaches.

His work draws from advanced training in Interpersonal Neurobiology (C-IPNB) to understand how nervous systems shape communication and relationships; ADHD and executive functioning (ADHD-CCSP) to identify where follow-through breaks down under pressure; and evidence-based behavioral approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT) to build practical systems that support lasting change.

When longstanding patterns continue to interfere with execution, his work is informed by advanced training in Internal Family Systems (IFS-informed) and Complex Trauma Treatment (CCTP-II) to better understand how earlier experiences, protective strategies, and nervous system adaptations continue to shape present-day behavior.

Dr. Nakumbe’s professional background spans consulting, behavioral optimization, crisis response, and high-stakes personal and professional environments. His work combines structured accountability with cognitive and behavioral science to address recurring breakdowns in judgment, consistency, and stability—particularly where insight is present, but execution continues to fail.
